I know, I know, earlier this week I was preaching about eating healthy and not giving up on our New Years resolutions. Then I went and made a super sweet monkey bread like two days later… I know… it was just too delicious not to post! And I know by looking at the title of this recipe you may be rolling your eyes again.
HOWEVER, this is a relatively lighter cheesecake dip recipe than you will find on many other sites. I was doing some research for this recipe and a lot of sites used marshmallow fluff and two tubs of whipped cream. I like the idea of whipped cream, but to me marshmallow fluff doesn’t seem to belong. After all, anyone who has made a cheesecake before knows just how tasty the batter is before you even put it into the oven.
So why couldn’t I make a dip like that? Do I have to use those ingredients which aren’t typically found in a cheesecake? I spent some time testing it and I found out you don’t. I used many ingredients typical to a real cheesecake: cream cheese, sour cream, and sugar. Oh, but I did add some Cool Whip for texture. I just made it a little better for you by using plain greek yogurt instead of sour cream and lite Cool Whip. It tastes just like regular cheesecake and is super delicious!
This is by far the easiest to prepare recipe I have posted yet on my site. I knew it was good when I was photographing the dip and my brother came downstairs. My brother is generally a picky eater so if he likes something I know it’s pretty good. He tried one… and then another.. and then another. He said that the graham cracker in his hand was the last one like three times. So that is a win for me.
This recipe is super simple, delicious, and lighter than a lot of other cheesecake dips you will find on Pinterest. Pin this and you will never regret it! Yum!
