Store-bought fries are jazzed up with Italian flavors like lemon, garlic, parsley, and parmesan! Italian fries are so easy and delicious!
Happy Thursday everyone!
Matt and I have officially been in our new place for two weeks now!
I think it went about as well as moving could go. Lots of boxes, stress, hunger, disorganization, and then eventually… a new home. While we still have a few things to set up, we’ve come a LONG way. For the first few days our kitchen was totally unusable! But leave it up to the food blogger to get that organized real quick and in the neatest fashion I could.
We are really happy there. It is the first place as our own here and our first place as husband and wife. We’ve been dying to have some more privacy and space, and the apartment is perfect! We are on the ground floor which I didn’t think initially I would like, but I’ve realized it is SO convenient especially when you come back from a shopping trip! We have been cooking a few meals in there and are really able to call it our own. Nevermind that I’m not used to the oven and burnt cookies and myself on the first batch I tried to bake…
But anyways. Since I’ve been moving, what have you been up to? What was your last move like?
With moving I have been burning up a ton of calories which only makes me want to eat even more than usual. This is where Italian Fries come in. I love them because I just simply jazz up freezer-aisle fries and make them into something really unique!
So what is it that makes these fries Italian?
The seasoning, duh!
Not that this is how they eat fries in Italy. I just put on classic Italian ingredients and dubbed the fries as such.
Once I pull the fries out of the oven I toss on minced garlic, chopped parsley, parmesan cheese, and a bit of fresh lemon juice. I toss it all together and it is done!
These are a really fun new way to eat fries if you want something new and simple to try. Or if you’re moving and hangry, they also do the trick.
- 16oz store-bought, freezer-aisle French fries of your choice
- 2 cloves garlic, minced
- 1 tbs chopped parsley
- Juice of ½ lemon
- 1- 2 tbs Parmesan cheese
- Preheat oven to temperature indicated on the French fry packaging. Grease a baking sheet and cook fries according to package directions.
- Meanwhile, prepare other ingredients.
- Once the fries are fully cooked and crispy, remove them from the oven and immediately top with garlic, parsley, lemon juice and Parmesan cheese. Toss to combine. Allow to come to a comfortable eating temperature and serve.
